Is Your JLR Navigation Subscription Expiring? Here's How to Check and Renew
To receive map updates for either an older InControl system or a newer Pivi Pro system, you need an active navigation subscription. When this subscription expires, your maps will stop updating. This guide shows you how to check your status and renew your service.
What is a Navigation Subscription?
When you purchase a new Land Rover, it typically comes with a complimentary period of connected navigation services (often 1 or 3 years). This license allows you to download map updates. Once the initial period ends, you must pay to renew the subscription to continue receiving new maps.
How to Check Your Subscription Status
- Navigate to the Land Rover InControl website.
- Log in with the email and password you used to set up your vehicle.
- Go to the ‘My Account' or ‘Vehicle Subscriptions' section.
- Here you will see a list of your active subscriptions, including ‘Connected Navigation' or similar, along with their expiry dates.
How to Renew Your JLR Navigation Subscription
Once you are logged into your InControl account:
- If your subscription is near its expiry date or has already expired, you should see an option to ‘Renew'.
- Click the renewal link and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your payment information.
- The renewal is typically for a one-year or three-year period.
Important Notes
- The renewal is tied to your account and VIN. Once purchased, it is automatically activated for your vehicle.
- For Pivi Pro: After renewal, OTA map updates should resume automatically.
- For InControl (USB): After renewal, you will regain access to download the latest map from the JLR map downloader portal.
Keeping your subscription active is the key to having up-to-date maps. Taking a few minutes to check your expiry date can save you the hassle of driving with outdated navigation. [landrover.ca](https://www.landrover.ca/en/ownership/incontrol/incontrol-user-guide/pivi-map-download.html)
