How It Works

The DA-DoIP VCI is designed for simplicity and reliability.

Functionality

The device connects directly to the vehicle's OBDII (Diagnostic) port and to your workshop laptop via USB. Once the D-PDU driver files are loaded, the VCIאן- DoIP enables normal PassThru communication between the vehicle and the JLR diagnostic software (SDD, Pathfinder, or TOPIx Cloud).

Operation

1. Download and install the latest D-PDU drivers from our website.
2. Connect the DA-DoIP VCI device to the vehicle's OBDII connector. The device powers on automatically from the vehicle. The (PWR) LED will illuminate solid red.
3. Connect the included 2-meter USB cable to the VCI and the other end to your diagnostic laptop.
4. During communication with the vehicle, the (STS) LED will flash green.

Vehicle Coverage

The DA-DoIP VCI has been tested by Jaguar Land Rover on the latest vehicle range covered by Pathfinder and TOPIx Cloud. With the latest updates, it is also backwards-compatible with older JLR vehicles supported by SDD.

Important Limitation: This device does not support older legacy protocols such as ISO9141 or J1850 PWM. It also does not provide FEPS programming voltages required for some older vehicle modules.

Software & Firmware Updates

To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, we periodically release updates for the device firmware and PC drivers. These are essential for adding new functionality and resolving field issues.

Before use, always ensure your VCI has the latest firmware and your PC has the latest drivers installed. These can be downloaded from our website's Downloads page via the DA App Hub utility.
