Step 2: Connecting to a Vehicle & Reading the VIN

1. Connect the VCI to the vehicle's OBD2 port and turn the ignition on.
2. In JET Master, click ‘Read VIN'.
3. The software will automatically identify the vehicle, its model year, and key systems. This confirms you have a stable connection.

Step 3: Basic Functions – Reading Fault Codes

1. With the vehicle identified, navigate to the ‘Diagnostics' or ‘DTC' tab.
2. Click ‘Read All Modules'.
3. JET Master will now poll every control unit on the vehicle's network and display a comprehensive list of all stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), including the highly detailed, manufacturer-specific codes not visible on generic scanners.

Step 4: Introduction to CCF Editing

1. Navigate to the ‘Vehicle Configuration' or ‘CCF' tab.
2. Click ‘Read CCF from Vehicle'. This will download the car's ‘As-Built' configuration file.
3. CRITICAL: Before making ANY changes, immediately click ‘Save to File' and save this original, unmodified CCF to a safe location on your computer. This is your backup.
4. You can now browse the list of parameters, make changes, and use the ‘Write to Vehicle' function when ready.
